FIELD GUIDE / 02
Context is not a word count.
A small amount of relevant background can be more useful than a very long paste.
Start with what changes the answer
Who is the reader? What is the goal? What facts must stay unchanged? What have you tried already? These questions help you choose material instead of copying everything.
Separate the task from the source
A draft, log or document is reference material. Label it separately from your instructions. Prompt Forge places source text inside a labeled reference block so that distinction is visible. A label is not a security boundary: models can still respond unexpectedly to instructions embedded in untrusted material.
Leave secrets out
Before pasting into an external service, remove credentials, private customer information and anything you are not allowed to share. AIGoblin processes workshop text in the browser, but a service you paste the result into has its own privacy and retention rules.
Trim formatting, not meaning
Repeated spaces and accidental blank lines are sometimes just copy-paste debris. In code, poetry or structured data, whitespace may matter. Preview the Text Scrubber output before replacing your original. It is a formatting tool, not an editor that understands your meaning.
